Info

Rainbow Kitten Surprise brings the bones North American Tour to History in Toronto on March 4, 2026. Formed in Boone, North Carolina around Ela Melo and Darrick “Bozzy” Keller, the band has grown into a five-piece with Ethan Goodpaster, Jess Haney and Charlie Holt. Their sound sits between indie rock and alternative folk, carried by an expressive lead voice, close-knit harmonies and dynamic shifts that move from hushed passages to more electric surges.

From the early self-releases gathered on Seven + Mary (2013) and the self-titled RKS (2015) to How to: Friend, Love, Freefall (2018), the group shaped a writing style that blends melodic guitars with pop-leaning rhythms and narrative threads. With Love Hate Music Box (2024), they keep exploring a melodic, fragmented indie rock where folk influences and pop touches meet themes of intimacy, spirituality and identity. On stage, the set draws across the catalog, pairing new material with early songs. The tour also partners with PLUS1, directing $1 per ticket to the Rainbow Kitten Surprise Fund.
