Info
On March 2, 2027, in Glasgow at Saint Luke's & The Winged Ox, Marika Hackman brings her finely balanced songwriting to the stage, where intimacy and edge tend to sit side by side. Over the years she’s moved between dark folk, indie rock and alternative pop, with a way of singing that stays close to the mic while the guitars and textures do the heavy lifting.
Her set can pull from the early, stripped-back atmosphere of We Slept at Last, the sharper alternative-rock turn of I’m Not Your Man, and the more direct, synth-leaning pop angles of Any Human Friend, without losing that precise sense of mood. More recently, Big Sigh (2024) tightens everything up: clear melodies, focused production, and lyrics that look straight at relationships, the body, and anxiety. Expect a live show that keeps things raw but controlled, built for rooms that like to listen as much as they like to move.
