Madra Salach land at Troxy in London on April 9, 2027 with the momentum of a band that learned its craft the old way: on stage, in north Dublin pubs, playing shoulder to shoulder. Six friends from the Northside, they move as a tight unit around Paul Banks’ lead vocals, with bass, guitar and drums pushing the songs forward while mandolin, whistle, synth and harmonium bring that trad colour without turning it into a museum piece.
Their sound sits between Irish folk, traditional Irish music and a more current, band-driven writing style: ballads, narrative songs and singalong-ready tunes built for a live room. After the 2025 singles Blue & Gold and I Was Just A Boy, and the 2026 EP It’s a Hell of an Age, this show circles around the next step: Gorta, the debut album they’ve been aiming to be judged by.
