Uncover Music presents Funke and the Two Tone Baby at The Sunflower Lounge on 5 March 2027 at 7:30 pm.
Funke and the Two Tone Baby is a unique artist, designing music on a machine of his own creation whilst playing a genre and sound that is his own. Jammed between off-kilter garage beats with a flash of hip-hop, and high energy alternative blues with a dose of funk, is a whirling blur of glitches, big drops and jump up choruses. It is Fatboy Slim meets The White Stripes via LCD Soundsystem and a smattering of IDLES.
In February 2027, Funke returns with his 5th studio album Greebling. Greebling is the process of adding detail to increase the appearance of complexity. The new album features guest appearances from Beans on Toast and Samantics, and is produced by Dutty Moonshine Big Band's producer Binge.
The new record contains elements of blues, electronica and ferocity that Funke has been evolving for the last 15 years, distilled with tighter production, an embrace of dance music culture and an ever-growing arsenal of instruments and repertoire. Trading an acoustic guitar for an electric, this direction cuts through a pulsating desk of synths, drum machines, harmonicas and energy to create a wall of sound from a one-man band.
