Info
Rod Stewart brings his farewell tour, The Final Encore, to Helsinki on 9 June 2027 at Veikkaus Arena. The London-born singer's career has spanned from 1960s British rhythm and blues through the Jeff Beck Group and Faces to a solo path where rock, folk and soul fuse into a recognizably husky sound. The evening traverses the full arc: the storytelling of early classics, the big choruses of the 70s, and the direct emotion of the later, more pop-oriented ballads.
The set list leans on songs that have become shared memories for many generations: Maggie May, You Wear It Well, Tonight’s the Night, Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?, Young Turks, Forever Young, Rhythm of My Heart and Sailing are precisely those moments when the audience sings along without prompting. Stewart's concerts also draw from covers and standards, and thus this evening is, above all, a cross-section of how he interprets and makes songs his own.
