Info
Sunday, 11 April 2027, The High Kings will land at Hermans in Aarhus with The Power of the People Tour, where Irish folk is served as it should sound: tight singing, strong choruses and plenty of room for the audience to take over. The quartet, consisting of Finbarr Clancy, Brian Dunphy, Darren Holden and Paul O’Brien, has since 2008 remained steadfast in the singing Irish tradition, giving both classic ballads and pub melodies a fresh, contemporary push with Celtic nerve and sharp harmonies.
In concert, they are known for making a room feel like one big communal sing-along, and the set draws on a catalog spanning from their early releases to newer material. You can also expect songs from the newer period, where they have placed extra focus on their own compositions, most recently on The Road Not Taken, without letting go of the traditional narratives. This is an evening where melodies carry, the voices sit close, and the whole point is the togetherness in song.
