Sinne Eeg

Aabenraa Live Jazzer presents Sinne Eeg at Motorfabrikken on 1 November 2026.

Last year, Sinne Eeg was awarded the French order of knighthood, Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, which is the French state's honor for merit in art, culture and literature. Sinne Eeg captivates audiences around the world with her assured intonation, her strong sense of rhythm, and her charming stage presence. Sinne is a masterful interpreter of the American songbook, but in her concerts the dark, velvety Scandinavian melancholy also expresses itself. This is especially audible in her new compositions, but is also evident in the classics from her back catalogue.

Sinne Eeg possesses a rare capacity for deep emotional connection and is not afraid to take risks on stage, which one experiences in the extravagance of both phrasing and scat improvisations. The Sinne Eeg Group consists of skilled Scandinavian jazz musicians, and Sinne is therefore well equipped for her performances. The quartet pushes the boundaries of what is possible on the Nordic jazz scene. With the group's good humor, the concert experience is guaranteed.

Sinne has released 11 albums under her own name, of which five have been awarded a Danish Music Award Jazz for Best Vocal Release. Over the years, Sinne Eeg has also received a number of prizes and recognitions, including the Ben Webster Prize, the DR Jazz Prize, Queen Ingrid's Memorial Grant, the Danish Jazz Release of the Year at Jazz Special and Palmares, and the French jazz critics' designation as International Vocal Release of the Year.

Unreserved seating. Doors open at 4:00 PM.
