On March 13, 2027, The Irish Rovers bring their long-running Celtic songbook to River Cree Resort and Casino in Enoch, just outside Edmonton. Formed in Toronto in the early 1960s by musicians from Northern Ireland, the band has always worked that sweet spot between traditional Irish music and a North American sense of storytelling.
Expect a set that moves easily from ballads to rowdy sing-alongs, with plenty of sea tales, exile themes, and pub-ready choruses. Over the years they’ve mixed folk roots with country touches, without losing the directness of classic Irish songs. From early records like The First of the Irish Rovers to the era sparked by “The Unicorn,” their live shows are built for voices in the room as much as for the stage, with that warm, traveling-band energy that keeps the tradition alive.
