Info
Agnes Nunes brings her fast-rising take on contemporary Brazilian songwriting to London on 30 September 2026 at Jazz Cafe. Self-taught and shaped by her years between Bahia and Brazil’s Northeast, she draws on the swing of forró and the wider MPB tradition, then threads it through subtle soul, R&B and acoustic pop touches. On stage, everything revolves around her voice: flexible, up close one minute, fuller and more direct the next, carried by arrangements that leave plenty of space for melody and lyrics.
Since her debut album Menina Mulher (2022), followed by O Amor e Suas Variáveis (2024), Nunes has built a repertoire that moves between intimate songs and warm, groove-led rhythms. Expect a set that captures that balance: grounded in Brazilian sensibility, open to modern influences, and designed for a live room where the smallest inflection can land as strongly as the big moments.
