On 9 April 2027, Piers Faccini stops by Théâtre Les Quinconces in Le Mans for a concert true to his artistry: music performed up close, carried by his voice and guitar, where folk and acoustic blues brush up against Mediterranean hues and echoes from the Sahel. Born in England into a family with Italian roots and raised in the south of France, he has built a repertoire of pared-down songs, looping motifs, and silences that count as much as the notes.
Since his early solo albums, from Leave No Trace to Tearing Sky and Two Grains of Sand, he has honed a direct, travel-informed writing, sensitive to the rhythms of travel and to melodies that fork. Based in the Cévennes, he continues these explorations up to Shapes of the Fall, keeping that taste for stripped-back, minimalist arrangements.
