On January 13, 2027, at Paul B in Massy, Birds on a Wire stops on its tour with a setup as simple as it is exacting: a voice and a cello, and a whole world opening up. Born from the meeting between Rosemary Standley (also known to Moriarty fans) and Dom La Nena, the duo builds a repertoire of covers and reinterpretations carved to the bone, where song crosses chamber folk, pop, early music, and traditional airs. On stage, they make languages, eras and origins converse, moving from a baroque motif to a pop melody, from a French song to English-language standards, never losing the thread. After Ramages, their album Nuées Ardentes continues this taste for the broad range with a mirror-game around adolescence, between The Cure, The Doors, Bronski Beat, Barbara or Stefano Landi. A concert conceived as a sequence of tableaux, all nuance, where the acoustic arrangement and the vocal writing take center stage.
