On November 26, 2026, DakhaBrakha lands in Manchester at New Century with a show that sits somewhere between concert energy and theatrical performance. Born out of Kyiv’s avant-garde Dakh theatre, the Ukrainian quartet has shaped its own language they call “ethno-chaos”: traditional Ukrainian songs, raw village polyphonies and dance rhythms, pushed around and rebuilt with touches of rock, pop, and experimental forms.
Onstage, it’s not just about the sound. Expect a strong visual identity rooted in ritual-inspired costumes and a physical presence that plays with the codes of performance as much as live music. Over the years, DakhaBrakha has taken this hybrid format from theatre rooms to major festivals across Europe, North America, and Asia, and it’s that touring-honed intensity they bring to Manchester: folk heritage treated as living material, open to collision, transformation, and unexpected turns.
