Step into the trance of a modern ball, a journey through the ages, styles, and countries. The Ultrabal reconnects with the parties and revelries of yesteryear, when it was still in vogue to grab your neighbor by the hips and surrender to the dance of the living. For a few years now, this collective of musicians and singers has been offering hybrid and unexpected evenings. Fixi, the maestro in a trance, is surrounded by an all-female crew, rotating guests, and an orchestra ready for all tasteful stylistic transgressions. Together, they invent a cross-cultural ball, pulsating and electric. For over two hours, the audience is invited to dance to a repertoire where anything goes, blending original compositions with the ball's classical repertoire, from the 1930s to today. The Ultrabal guides us into a waltz that makes eyes light up and hearts beat faster. Edith Piaf, Harry Belafonte, France Gall, The Bangles, Donna Summer, Osvaldo Farres, and many others are revisited in Ultrabal's palette.
