Fat Dog lands at Rough Trade Bristol (Bristol) on October 3, 2026 for a matinee set built around their new Domino release, Cancel Me (I’m Tired). Born in London during lockdown and led by Joe Love, the band made its name the old way: on stage first, recordings later, sharpening their sound while touring alongside acts like Sports Team, Yard Act and Viagra Boys.
Expect that heady clash they’ve been honing since their early singles: post-punk edges, dance-punk drive and a front-facing electronic pulse that flirts with rave tempos. Synth lines stay tight, drums hit in loops that push you forward, and the sax can suddenly swing the mood somewhere stranger, sometimes with a hint of klezmer in the phrasing. It’s a live show where repetition turns physical, riffs and beats lock in, and the songs keep mutating as they build.
