On March 7, 2027, at the Zénith in Caen, Sylvie Vartan returns to the stage with 'My Life in Song, with You…', an engagement conceived as a musical journey. A major figure of the yé-yé wave from the early 1960s, she built a French pop repertoire nourished by twists, rock ’n’ roll and Anglo‑American adaptations, with this direct and melodic writing that marked an era.
The show traverses its major milestones, from 'La plus belle pour aller danser' to 'Comme un garçon', 'La Maritza', '2 min 35 de bonheur' or 'Irrésistiblement', not forgetting the more orchestrated and on‑stage turns of the 1970s‑1980s, where her pop variety retains a rock and soul undercurrent. We also encounter the notable meetings, notably the duo 'J’ai un problème' with Johnny Hallyday, and the imprint of writers such as Serge Gainsbourg, Charles Aznavour or Pierre Barouh. A way of revisiting a career, song after song, up close to the audience.
