Info
On October 21, 2026, Imarhan takes the stage at Interference, in Balma, with their distinctive blend of tichumaren (the desert blues) and a surge of Saharan rock, pop and funk. Anchored in Tamanrasset, in southern Algeria, the quintet led by Sadam moves forward without postcard folklore: electric guitars that bite, rhythms cut for movement, collective choirs and singing in Tamasheq, like a direct link to the city and the Hoggar.
Since their first records, Imarhan has embodied a new Tuareg generation that favors building on site rather than exile. Their album Aboogi, recorded in their own studio in the heart of Tamanrasset, deepens this axis: music nourished by rites and ancestral heritage, open to collaborations and dialogue. In the lyrics, themes of nature, oppression, youth seeking their place, but also hope and struggle. On stage, all of this translates into sand-encrusted riffs, hypnotic loops and multi-voiced refrains, both rugged and instantly galvanizing.
