On October 17, 2026, Dhafer Youssef returns to Parvis Scène Nationale Tarbes Pyrénées, in Ibos, with his distinctive blend where the oud, the voice, and improvisation brush against jazz. Born in Tunisia and trained as much by traditional music as by the European scene, he has been building since the 1990s a singular aesthetic: Arabic modes that intersect with jazz harmonies, a precise approach to composition, and a taste for breath and silence that makes as much room for timbre as for notes.
