On 3 December 2026, Boy Harsher land at Electric Bristol with their dark, danceable take on electro-pop. Built around minimal beats, tense synth layers and Jae Matthews’ elastic, sensual vocals, the duo’s songs circle around desire, fantasy and loneliness without ever losing the pulse. It’s a sound that flirts with synthpop and EBM, stripped down but physical, made for late-night rooms and moving bodies.
Boy Harsher is Jae Matthews and Augustus Muller, who first crossed paths through film before turning a live story-and-score project (Teen Dreamz) into something more club-minded. Since switching to the Boy Harsher name in 2014, they’ve shaped a tight catalogue: the early EP Lesser Man, the debut album Yr Body Is Nothing, Country Girl, and the heavier, hook-loaded Careful. Their connection to cinema runs through the project too, culminating in The Runner, a short film they wrote, produced and scored, released alongside its soundtrack in 2022. Support acts will open the night.
