432 Presents Talib Kweli, a leading figure in New York hip-hop, in concert on August 17, 2026 at the Brudenell Social Club in Leeds. Born in Brooklyn, Kweli established himself from the mid-1990s with dense, precise writing, attentive to substance as much as to form. His storytelling prowess and his commitment run through his entire career, from the beginnings that placed him at the center of the conscious rap scene to a solid and continually evolving solo discography.
He is also known for his foundational collaborations: Black Star alongside Mos Def, then Reflection Eternal with producer Hi-Tek, two ventures that have become landmarks for the East Coast. In solo work, he has released albums that capture both technique and vision, while crossing paths with producers and artists such as Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, Just Blaze, Mary J.
