On October 16, 2026 at the Palace Theatre in Calgary, Paul Cauthen arrives with his distinctive blend of country, Americana and Southern rock, powered by a baritone voice that hooks from the opening bars. First came to prominence with the duo Sons of Fathers before charting his own path as a solo artist, he has built a repertoire where ballads rub shoulders with drier rhythms, and where the arrangements often carry a hint of gospel and soul. Between confession and raw energy, his songs tell of personal turns, the wide-open spaces and the shadows, without unnecessary folklore. From My Gospel to Room 41, up to the more recent chapters of his discography, Cauthen embraces direct writing and a no-frills stage presence.
As an opener, Leon Majcen brings a stripped-down folk-songwriting vein, focused on storytelling. Born in Prague and having spent time in Florida, New York and Nashville, he draws on the influences of Townes Van Zandt, John Prine and Guy Clark, with a simple acoustic approach, tailored for the stage and for stories of road, work and Southern landscapes.
