Judah & the Lion lands at Toronto's Danforth Music Hall on October 24, 2026, with its Nashville-born folk-rock recipe, always ready to push beyond the boundaries. Now led by Judah Akers and Brian Macdonald, the project began on a base of Americana and bluegrass (banjo, mandolin, acoustic harmonies) before throwing open the doors to a more direct indie rock, with touches of pop, hip-hop and electropop that shake up the tradition without erasing it.
From Kids These Days to Folk Hop n' Roll, then Pep Talks, Revival and The Process, the duo has honed a style in which choruses grab hold quickly and intimacy takes more space, in both writing and production. Onstage, this translates into a collective energy and a sense of contrast: warm, nearly acoustic passages, and more upfront crescendos, tailored for the venue. A show for fans of folk blending with alternative rock without losing its edge.
