Shakey Graves brings the Fondness, Etc. Tour to History in Toronto on December 15, 2026. Born Alejandro Rose-Garcia in Austin, he has shaped a personal take on Americana at the junction of folk, blues, country and lean rock. First noticed as a one-man band built on guitar, voice and foot-powered percussion, he sketched the blueprint on Roll the Bones before widening the palette on And the War Came, which included co-writes with Esmé Patterson like Dearly Departed. Since then, he has moved between solo shows and a tight live formation, keeping the writing direct while letting arrangements breathe.

On stage, that balance steers a set that shifts from stripped-back storytelling to driving, percussive passages. Expect fingerpicked patterns, steady grooves and a focus on narrative songs that pull from across his catalog—Can’t Wake Up, Roll the Bones X, Movie of the Week—and newer chapters of the project.
