Rodrigo y Gabriela

Mexico-born acoustic duo Rodrigo y Gabriela play Zaklęte Rewiry in Wrocław on 21 April 2027. Formed in Mexico City in the mid-1990s, Rodrigo Sánchez and Gabriela Quintero left their metal roots for two acoustic guitars and built an instrumental language that blends Latin pulse, hints of flamenco and the drive of rock. Their live setup is simple and precise: Rodrigo carries the melodic lines and harmonies, while Gabriela anchors the rhythm with rasgueado, palm hits and syncopated patterns that turn the guitar into a percussion instrument.

On stage, the pair move from delicate arpeggios to tightly locked riffs, with dynamic shifts that keep the focus on interplay and groove. The repertoire draws on milestones like re-Foc and the self-titled Rodrigo y Gabriela, the cinematic colours of Area 52, and the more recent directions of Mettavolution and In Between Thoughts... A New World. Themes are reworked for the room, with space for tension-and-release, unison runs and percussive breaks that carry the set without a single lyric.

Rooted in years of street and club playing in Dublin and refined on international stages, their show stays close to the essence of the project: two guitars, four hands, a shared pulse, and an instrumental conversation that crosses rock, folk and Latin influences.
