Finnish singer Tarja brings her symphonic metal voice to Nöjesfabriken in Karlstad on 20 February 2027. Classically trained at the Sibelius Academy and the Hochschule für Musik in Karlsruhe, she built a singular path between opera technique and amplified guitars, first as the voice of Nightwish, then through a solo career that broadened her sound and palette. On stage, her soprano rides dense riffs, keyboards and orchestral layers, shifting from urgent rhythms to spacious, melodic passages.

The performance draws from her solo catalogue — My Winter Storm, What Lies Beneath, Colours in the Dark, The Shadow Self and In the Raw — balancing dynamic songs with more atmospheric interludes, without losing the direct drive of a rock set. Tarja moves between intimate, voice-led moments and full-band surges, carrying themes of light and shade with precise phrasing and a keen sense of drama. Metal textures meet classical instincts in arrangements that leave room for both impact and nuance, a blend she has refined since her years with Nightwish and continued across tours, orchestral detours and studio projects.
