Duran Duran

Duran Duran bring their mix of pop, rock and electronics to OVO Hydro, Glasgow, on 15 October 2026. Formed in Birmingham at the turn of the 80s, the band emerged from the New Romantic scene with a sound that blended synths, guitar hooks and a dance-floor pulse, carried by a strong visual identity shaped through music videos.

Across four decades, their catalogue traces shifting currents without losing the thread: the debut and Rio, then Seven and the Ragged Tiger, the funk-tinged Notorious and Big Thing, the melodic turn of The Wedding Album, and later explorations through Medazzaland, Astronaut, Red Carpet Massacre, All You Need Is Now, Paper Gods, Future Past and Danse Macabre. On stage, tight rhythms, shimmering keys and clean melodies drive a set that moves easily between their new wave roots and contemporary pop textures, with that balance of groove and polish that has kept Duran Duran active and curious from club origins to arena scale.
