Dizzee Rascal « We Want Bass Tour »

Dizzee Rascal brings his We Want Bass Tour to Club Bahnhof Ehrenfeld in Cologne on 6 October 2026. The London‑born, Bow‑raised MC helped shape grime in the early 2000s: first as a drum’n’bass DJ on pirate radio, then as an MC and producer and as a co‑founder of Roll Deep. His tight, sometimes high‑pitched flow meets dry, angular instrumentals influenced by UK garage, bassline and British hip‑hop. With “I Luv U” and his debut Boy in da Corner (2003, Mercury Prize) he early established the blueprint. This was followed by Showtime (2004) and Maths + English (2007), as well as collaborations with Arctic Monkeys and Basement Jaxx. From Tongue n’ Cheek (2009) onward he opened his sound toward pop and dance, with partnerships including Calvin Harris, Florence + the Machine and Shakira. With Raskit (2017) he returned to a more direct form of grime; E3 AF (2020) and Don’t Take It Personal (2024) continue that line.

Live, Dizzee blends early grime cuts with newer tracks, alternating between concise bars and catchy hooks and— as the tour title suggests— relying on heavy bass and UK club dynamics, perfectly suited to the setting at Club Bahnhof Ehrenfeld.
