A prominent figure of the unfettered new jazz scene, the drummer, composer, and sound explorer Anne Paceo will make her first appearance at La Nouvelle Vague.
Atlantis, her eighth album, is a creation inspired by the sea, the ocean, and that sensation of time dissolving in the face of vastness. Nourished by her own diving experiences, the stories of solitary navigators, and the myth of a sunken city, Anne Paceo weaves music without labels.
Her organic and rich style unfolds at the crossroads of jazz, pop, and electronic music, guided by a curiosity for sounds and world cultures. There she seeks the pure moment, the moment when body, mind and music become one. With a new ensemble on stage, she continues her quest for a free language of sound, interwoven with currents, voices, and light.
