Anthony Kavanagh presents Jet Lag, a stand-up set tailored for jet lag, both literally and figuratively. Between Quebec and France—languages that rub against each other—memories from the road and the rhythms of our hurried lives, he unfolds a sharp take on cultural differences, relationships and that search for meaning that runs through us. True to his trademark, he moves between punchlines and more sensitive moments, relying on improvisation, slipping in impressions, a bit of singing and the physical play that is part of his stage DNA. Discovered in the 1990s and refined by shows where he blends comedy, music and dance, Kavanagh here uses his sense of showmanship to give voice to everyday life, travel and the shocks of our inner time zones.
