Hervé Vilard

On November 7, 2027, at Zinga Zanga in Béziers, Hervé Vilard picks up the thread of a repertoire shaped by French chanson from the 1960s to the present. Revealed in 1965 by "Capri c’est fini," he quickly established himself at the crossroads of romantic ballads and popular refrains, before moving toward a more orchestrated approach centered on voice and storytelling. Over the long term, he multiplied collaborations with francophone songwriters and arrangers, and developed an international dimension, notably in Spain and Latin America, where he sang in Spanish and toured extensively.

In Béziers he brings these different periods together on stage, between intimate songs and well-known numbers, offering a program that speaks as much to an era as to a personal trajectory. One hears the narrative vein that runs through his work, his taste for lyrics and melody, and his way of making popular song, orchestra and memories converse. The concert is conceived as a voyage—simple and direct—where each piece finds its place in the history of a singer faithful to his artistic line.
