MEUTE bring their brass-and-drums take on club music to Troxy, London on 1 May 2027. Formed in Hamburg in 2015 around trumpeter Thomas Burhorn, the eleven-piece calls itself a techno marching band: no laptops, just horns, percussion and a steady, metronomic pulse. Their live show threads reworks of electronic staples — from Âme’s Rej to tracks by Laurent Garnier, Disclosure, Dennis Ferrer or Deadmau5 — with their own material, keeping the drive and build of the originals while flipping them into raw acoustic energy. Over the years they’ve shifted from street performances to big stages and built a catalogue that now balances covers and compositions, drawn from Tumult, Live in Paris, Puls, Taumel and Empor. On stage, tight grooves, layered polyrhythms and call-and-response brass lines turn the dancefloor into a moving parade, with crescendos shaped by drumlines rather than drop buttons. MEUTE channel the mechanics of techno through a fanfare, built for movement and collective momentum.
