Theory of a Deadman

On 6 February 2027, Theory of a Deadman bring their Canadian rock blend to The Garage in Glasgow. Formed in 1999 in North Delta, British Columbia, the quartet led by singer-guitarist Tyler Connolly grew out of post-grunge and hard rock, with direct songwriting, melodic choruses and detours into alternative and pop rock, sometimes acoustic or country-tinged. One of the first signings to 604 Records, they released their self-titled debut in 2002, followed by Gasoline (2005) and Scars & Souvenirs (2008), years that put them on North American stages alongside Nickelback, Breaking Benjamin, Mötley Crüe and Alter Bridge.

Through The Truth Is... (2011) and Savages (2014) the band kept its rock core while opening up its format. Wake Up Call (2017), recorded with Martin Terefe, marked a turn toward a more pop rock approach and even a brief shortening of the band name to Theory. Say Nothing (2020) pushed the lyrics toward social themes, before a return to a heavier sound on Dinosaur (2023). On stage, they stitch these periods together, from early riff-driven cuts to newer material, for a set built on hooks, grit and a straight-ahead live feel.
