On 5 December 2026 at The Dome, London, Ankor and Self Deception share the bill with vocalist Lauren Babic for a night rooted in modern metal, alternative rock and pop-leaning hooks.
Formed in Tarragona, Ankor grew from early melodic metal into a sharper blend of metalcore, alt rock and electronic touches. Since the arrival of British singer Jessie Williams, the band has leaned on strong contrasts between clean melodies and more abrasive parts, with choruses built for impact. From Al fin descansar to Beyond the Silence of These Years, their catalogue moves between English and Spanish and explores personal ties, resilience and everyday tensions. On stage, that mix turns into tight riffs and direct, dynamic arrangements.
Born in Stockholm in 2005, Self Deception operates where modern rock meets melodic hard rock and metal. Dense guitars, a clear vocal line and hook-driven refrains sit on a heavy backbone, heard across releases from Restitution to Destroy the Art. The quartet cultivates a balance between metallic energy and accessible songwriting.
From Toronto’s scene, Lauren Babic moves between melodic singing and harsher techniques, crossing modern metal, post-hardcore and alternative pop. Known for Red Handed Denial and projects like CrazyEightyEight, she also writes and lends her voice to collaborations in rock, metal and electronic music, as well as game soundtracks. Live, she shifts with ease from clean lines to gritty textures.
