Info
On 4 July 2026 at the Grand Palais, the evening is devoted to North African music, oscillating between popular heritage and electronic pulses. Three projects take the stage: El Besta, Aïta Mon Amour and Acid Arab.
El Besta leads off with a tribute to Algerian raï. The group revisits the classics and rekindles the energy of a repertoire that marked generations, between insistent melodies and unifying choruses. Their set is conceived as a nod to the great voices that shaped the genre.
Aïta Mon Amour brings together Moroccan singer Widad Mjama and producer Khalil Epi around the aïta, a form of sung poetry historically carried by the cheikhates (female traditional singers). The duo offers a contemporary rereading in which singing and declamation sit alongside pared-back electronic textures and restrained tempos. With Abda, released in 2024, they charted a singular course at the intersection of traditional, experimental and electronic scenes.
Acid Arab continues the journey with a DJ set featuring guest performers. The Parisian duo of Guido Minisky and Hervé Carvalho have, for years, woven a dialogue between Western techno, club rhythms and the sounds of North Africa and the Middle East. On stage, their selection mixes percussive grooves, acid lines and melodic motifs, all conceived for the dancefloor.
