Info
Alabama 3 hit The Garage in London on 17 October 2026 with their blend of dive-bar blues, gospel inflections and rave electronics. Formed in Brixton in the mid-90s by Rob Spragg and the late Jake Black, the band — also known as A3 — folds country storytelling into acid house pulses and trip-hop atmospheres. Their track Woke Up This Morning carried their name well beyond the UK as the opening theme of The Sopranos, but the live show goes deeper: harmonica and slide guitar over sequenced beats, preacher-style spoken word, and choruses that flirt with gospel call-and-response.
Across albums from Exile on Coldharbour Lane to Step 13, Alabama 3 keep reshaping that hybrid sound. Since 2019, Spragg has led an expanded crew of collaborators, pushing the groove without losing the twang. On stage, expect a sweep through early favourites and recent cuts, Southern imagery filtered through a London lens, and a steady pull to the dancefloor.
