Julian Marley & The Uprising

Julian Marley & The Uprising land at Chalk, Brighton and Hove, on 3 June 2026. A Grammy-winning reggae musician, singer-songwriter and producer, Julian grew up between London and Kingston, taught himself multiple instruments and released his first album, Lion in the Morning, in 1996. His roots-reggae leans conscious and spiritual, grounded in Jamaican tradition and coloured by a British upbringing, with dub, dancehall and soul slipping into the mix.

Key milestones trace the path: A Time & Place (2003), the Grammy-nominated Awake (2009), As I Am (2019), and Colors of Royal (2023), made with producer Antaeus and awarded Best Reggae Album. Within the family imprint Ghetto Youths International, he often links with brothers Ziggy, Stephen and Damian, and has appeared on projects like The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.
