Fat Dog bring their London-bred electro-punk to O2 Academy Bristol on 25 November 2026. Formed in 2020 around Joe Love and soon expanded into a five-piece, the band cut its teeth on South London stages before releasing a note, then took early slots with Sports Team, Yard Act and Viagra Boys. They signed to Domino in 2023.
Their sound hinges on the meeting point between post-punk, dance-punk and hard-edged electronics: tense synth lines, rave-leaning rhythms and side steps that nod to klezmer, carried by bursts of saxophone. After the calling card King of the Slugs in 2023, they followed with All the Same, Running and I Am the King in 2024, ahead of the album WOOF the same year.
On stage, Fat Dog blend raw rock energy with hypnotic repetition built for movement and a taste for the absurd that keeps the set sharp and unpredictable. Bristol gets that mix up close at O2 Academy Bristol.
