Chris Brain is a Yorkshire-based folk singer-songwriter whose work sits in the British pastoral tradition, shaped by close attention to place, memory and emotional nuance. His fourth album, Red Sun Rising (2026), is a collection of songs about yearning, restlessness and the desire for change, rooted in acoustic textures and intimate storytelling. He brings the Red Sun Rising tour to MOTH Club, London, on 22 May 2026 at 6:30 pm.
Based between North Yorkshire and London, folk artist Natalie Wildgoose writes chamber-folk built around voice and piano, with sparse arrangements and a pastoral, melancholic tone.
