Editors

Editors play O2 Guildhall, Southampton on 12 March 2027. Formed in 2002 in Birmingham, the band built its name during the post‑punk revival with a dark, tightly wound take on indie rock. The Back Room (2005) and An End Has a Start (2007) set the foundations: chiseled guitars, tense rhythms and Tom Smith’s distinctive baritone out front. With In This Light and on This Evening (2009), the group pushed synths forward, a shift that deepened after the 2012 departure of Chris Urbanowicz and the arrival of Justin Lockey and Elliott Williams.

Across The Weight of Your Love (2013), In Dream (2015) and Violence (2018), Editors opened up to atmospheric rock and shadowed pop, then paused to look back with the Black Gold compilation in 2019. In 2022, electronic musician Benjamin John Power joined and the band released EBM, folding industrial‑leaning textures into their guitar DNA. On stage, they connect these chapters into a coherent arc, balancing serrated riffs and driving electronics, with Smith’s voice anchoring the whole.
