An Evening with Kristin Hersh

An Evening With Kristin Hersh takes place on Tuesday 20 October 2026 at 7:00 pm at Exeter Phoenix.

Over the last three decades, Kristin Hersh has released over 20 records solo, with Throwing Muses and 50FootWave. Songwriter, guitarist and singer, she continues to tour and record.

Her solo record Clear Pond Road, released in September 2023, presents a series of personal vignettes with layers of strings and mellotron.

In 2018, Hersh announced a partnership with Fire Records that led to the release of her tenth studio album, Possible Dust Clouds. Since then there have been new releases from Throwing Muses (Sun Racket, 2020) and 50FootWave (Black Pearl, 2022), along with her book Seeing Sideways (2022).

Previously, contrasts of light and dark were essential to the sound of Throwing Muses and 50FootWave, and this new record is more inward-looking. Produced and performed by Hersh, Clear Pond Road is quieter, with musical ideas underpinned by field recordings.
