Valtos & Friends Pt2

Skye-born duo Valtos bring their blend of club energy and Highland roots to O2 Academy Glasgow on 18 December 2026 for Valtos & Friends Pt2. Producers and multi-instrumentalists Daniel Docherty and Martyn MacDonald fuse house-driven beats with Gaelic vocals and traditional melodies, drawing on the weathered landscapes and stories of the Hebrides. Since launching in 2021, they’ve shaped a live show that moves from tight dance passages to folk motifs, threading pipes, fiddle and voice through synth lines and low-end pulse. Early tracks like Home and Ceòl Dannsa, a noted remix of Peatbog Faeries’ Marx Terrace, and their self-titled 2022 album sketched the blueprint, followed by ongoing collaborations across the contemporary Scottish trad scene. On stage, the pair push that hybrid further, opening room for guests and spontaneous crossings between session tunes and club dynamics. Valtos & Friends Pt2 digs deeper into that shared ground: direct, physical and rooted, with the dancefloor always in view.
