UK country duo The Shires bring their Nashville-leaning pop songwriting to Brighton Dome, Brighton, on 12 November 2026. Formed in 2013 after an exchange on Facebook, Ben Earle and Crissie Rhodes shape a British take on country: story-led lyrics, melodic choruses and close harmonies between Rhodes’s lead and Earle’s counterpoint. Early support from BBC Radio 2 and the C2C: Country to Country stage took them from Decca to becoming the first English country act signed to a major Nashville label. Live, they draw from Brave, My Universe, Accidentally on Purpose, Good Years and 10 Year Plan, with songs about relationships and everyday moments that fit contemporary pop-country formats. Over the years they’ve toured with Little Big Town, The Corrs, Shania Twain, Carrie Underwood, Tom Jones and Tears for Fears, experiences that feed into a set anchored by twin vocals and clean, guitar-led arrangements.
