Info
Kittie brings its heavy blend to Manchester Academy, Manchester, on 10 August 2026. Formed in London, Ontario by sisters Morgan and Mercedes Lander, the Canadian band bridges nu metal, groove and alternative metal with low‑tuned guitars, a back‑and‑forth between screamed and clean vocals, and direct song structures. Their catalogue traces a path from the raw energy of Spit and Oracle through the more melodic turns of Until the End and Funeral for Yesterday, to the thicker grooves of In the Black and I’ve Failed You. Fire, released in 2024, adds fresh material that underlines Morgan Lander’s dual vocal approach, the weight of Mercedes on drums and Tara McLeod’s precise guitar lines.
Also on the bill, Bristol’s Split Chain pushes a dense mix of heavy shoegaze, alternative metal, grunge and emo. Led by singer Bert Martinez-Cowles, the quintet layers saturated guitars and solid rhythms with wider, hazier textures, letting melodies cut through the noise. On stage, they keep it tight and physical, balancing impact and introspection without locking into a single style.
