Placebo « 30th Anniversary Tour »

On 28 November 2026 at Nottingham Arena, Nottingham, Placebo bring their 30th Anniversary Tour to town. Formed by Brian Molko and Stefan Olsdal after reconnecting in London, the band cut early demos in the mid‑90s and released a self‑titled debut in 1996, carried by the single Come Home. Spotted by David Bowie, they toured widely and kept returning to the studio, from Sleeping With Ghosts in 2003 to Loud Like Love in 2013. The drums changed hands across the years — Robert Schultzberg, Steve Hewitt, then Steve Forrest — while Molko and Olsdal held the line.

This show revisits those chapters with a set that spans the catalogue: early tracks, deep cuts and later material side by side. Guitars and bass drive the songs with tight, unfussy arrangements, Molko’s voice up front and the rhythm section locked in. Rather than leaning on nostalgia, the band plays these pieces as they sound today, letting the writing carry the weight. Thirty years on, Placebo connect past and present in a direct, clear way.
