Geordie folk rock band Lindisfarne will play Backstage at The Green in Kinross on 4 December 2026 at 8:00 pm.
The band, fronted by co-founder Rod Clements, is touring a repertoire of songs delivered in a style that has defined its stage act since forming in Newcastle in 1970.
Lindisfarne’s sound combines acoustic instruments such as mandolin and fiddle with electric blues roots. Many songs were written by co-founder Alan Hull. Hits include "Meet Me on the Corner", "Lady Eleanor", "Run for Home" and "Fog on the Tyne".
"Meet Me on the Corner", written by Clements, preceded the album "Fog on the Tyne", released in 1972.
Further albums followed, supported by live performances. The annual Christmas concerts in Newcastle became a regular fixture.
Says Rod Clements: "People keep coming back to Lindisfarne live and while that carries on, we carry on. We’re pleased to be playing Backstage at The Green again."
