Info
The Proclaimers play Nottingham on 27 October 2026 at Theatre Royal & Royal Concert Hall, with the twin voices of Craig and Charlie Reid front and centre. Formed in 1983 in Scotland, the duo began as a stripped-back acoustic act before broadening into a full band setup. Their sound sits between folk rock, roots and pop, with a punk-bred energy, tight harmonies and a distinct Scottish cadence that anchors their identity.
On stage, The Proclaimers tend to weave early milestones from This Is the Story and Sunshine on Leith — Letter from America, I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles), Sunshine on Leith — into later chapters: Hit the Highway, Persevere and Born Innocent, then Life with You, Notes & Rhymes and Like Comedy, up to Angry Cyclist and Dentures Out. They move easily between acoustic intimacy and band-driven punch, keeping the spotlight on direct songwriting and voices that carry personal stories, social observations and lyrics with a political edge.
