Level 42 bring their blend of jazz-funk, fusion and sharp 80s pop to The Forum, Bath on 1 December 2026. Formed in 1979 on the Isle of Wight by Mark King, Mike Lindup, Phil and Boon Gould, the band moved from instrumental workouts to melodic new wave, polished dance-rock and synth-pop. At the core: King’s percussive bass and Lindup’s keys and harmonies, a partnership that shapes the group’s signature mix of groove and songcraft.

On stage, the set traces their arc from the Love Games era through World Machine and Running in the Family, balancing tight rhythms with airy arrangements rooted in jazz. The current lineup, led by King and Lindup, keeps the interplay upfront: nimble bass patterns, bright keyboards and vocal layers that ride crisp, syncopated drums.
