Info
Wet Wet Wet bring the 40th anniversary of Popped In Souled Out to Congress Theatre, Eastbourne on 28 October 2027. Formed in Clydebank near Glasgow, the group shaped a melodic pop sound fed by soul and slow-burn ballads, with Tommy Cunningham, Graeme Clark and Neil Mitchell joined long-term by guitarist Graeme Duffin. Now fronted by vocalist Kevin Simm, they look back to their 1987 debut and trace the path that followed, from the R&B-leaning Memphis Sessions through Holding Back the River and High on the Happy Side to recent material from The Journey. On stage, their catalogue leans on close harmonies, keys and rich arrangements, retrouvaille-style with the blend that anchored the band in British pop.
Support: Roachford. Andrew Roachford’s project centres on voice and keyboards, crossing pop rock, modern R&B and classic soul. Active since the late 80s, he moves between group and solo records, and since 2010 also sings with Mike + The Mechanics. For this date he opens with groove-led songs built on clear refrains and unfussy arrangements, a direct set-up that fits neatly with the night’s soul-pop pulse.
