The Proclaimers

The Proclaimers headline Alhambra Theatre in Dunfermline on 1 December 2026. Formed by twin brothers Craig and Charlie Reid, the Scottish duo built their sound on tight two-part harmonies, plainspoken lyrics and a clear Leith accent. Their music threads folk rock, roots touches and a pinch of punk energy, shifting easily from foot-tapping strums to slower, reflective songs.

On stage, they go straight to the essentials: melody first, words upfront, guitars carrying the frame. The set draws from early landmarks like I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles), Letter from America and Sunshine on Leith, then reaches into later chapters including Angry Cyclist and Dentures Out. The repertoire mixes personal stories, slices of everyday life and social observations, sung with a directness that invites the room to join in.
