This Will Destroy You

On July 25, 2026 This Will Destroy You return to Rome, at the Traffic Club, with their instrumental post‑rock that intertwines saturated guitars, ambient textures and doomgaze shadows. Formed in Texas around the guitars of Jeremy Galindo and Christopher Royal King, they have honed a language of slow tensions, suspended pauses and crescendos that open like waves, between spare melodies and dense reverbs. From the early steps of Young Mountain and the self-titled 2008 record to the darker textures of Tunnel Blanket, through the melodic architectures of Another Language and the two‑part New Others, their repertoire takes shape live: expanded pieces, wide dynamics and electronic details that surface and recede. On stage the band works by subtraction, leaving room for silence, then drives volume and distortion until the sonic mass reconstitutes itself into a theme. A wordless set with a cinematic sweep that leads the audience into moving landscapes rather than conventional songs, balancing physical impact with attention to detail.
