Devin Townsend brings to Klub Stodoła a set that condenses his many lives in heavy music. The Canadian multi-instrumentalist and producer moves between extreme metal, progressive detours, ambient passages and orchestral rock, a blend he has been shaping since the 90s.
From the industrial punch of Strapping Young Lad to solo landmarks like Ocean Machine, Infinity and Terria, through the Devin Townsend Project era (Ki, Deconstruction, Epicloud, Transcendence), then Empath, Lightwork and the recent PowerNerd, his catalogue feeds concerts built like journeys. On stage, Townsend layers guitars, synths and choir-like harmonies, shifting from serrated riffs to weightless melodies. His voice can pivot from abrasive screams to a clear, melodic register, while arrangements swell and retract with a sense of narrative.
